Repetitive Stress Injuries (Work-related hazards)
The pain occurring in nerves, muscles, and tendons due to repetitive movements is referred by repetitive strain injury (RSI). It can also be termed as work-related upper limb disorder or non-specific upper limb pain. Performing rigorous activities for a long time without taking a rest or operating in poor postures or awkward position increases the risk of RSI. In addition, vibrating environment and cold temperatures can also cause RSI. Surprisingly, stress can also contribute to this. The upper body parts including wrists & hands, neck, shoulders, elbows, and others are affected in case of RSI.
